It never was a good thing when you were woken up by the sound of splintering wood and screaming, the smell of gunpowder and fire burning into your nostrils and the sight of your people who were just the other night cheering and laughing with you panicking and some crying out of fear as others shouted orders: Well, that was just what Lillie Elric had woken up to and she knew that whatever was going on definitely not going to be a pleasant experience for her.
They hadn't even occupied this port for a fortnight and The Marines had already been dispatched in full force to deal with the small group of revolutionaries and had spared no expense Lillie noted as she emerged from her quarters aboard her ship to look out at a small fleet of Marine ships all armed to the teeth and launching a barrage of cannons upon the Revolutionary ships docked at the port and sinking them with frightening speed as her fellow Revolutionaries struggled to make it out before drowning or being hit by the next barrage of cannon fire.
"What are we going to do?!" A panicked lieutenant said, coming up to Lillie who frowned and responded while attaching a blade to her cybernetic arm that she had specially made for fighting without needing to hold a blade in her hand itself, freeing it up in the event it was necessary to wield two other weapons or items at once:
"We don't go down without a fight, that's what." She said, turning her gaze from the carnage and onto the Lieutenant before her. "Rally the people that can still fight and what ships can still tread water - We're going to show them who's really in charge around here." She said with a slight grin, before then beginning to move her ship at full speed towards the small fleet of Marine ships and raising the bladed cybernetic arm as she called out to the fellow soldiers aboard her ship:
"Let's show them what it means to be a Revolutionary! What it means to be free!" She shouted, before then boarding the nearest Marine ship that she was able and immediately raising her bladed arm in order to block a sword that came into contact with it. Pushing forward, she used the increased strength in the cybernetic limb in order to push the Marine who had attacked her back and with her right hand would draw a flintlock pistol from her hip and crouching quickly before letting out a few well-placed shots to her attacker's torso and throwing the empty pistol into another Marine's head with enough force to daze him and then promptly grabbing the man's own rifle and using it along with the weapon's bayonet to fight the remaining group of men who collapsed in on her.
As she fought, Lillie's fellow soldiers boarded the ship and began to make quick work along with her of it's crew and then manning the ship in order to turn it against the other's in the formation, letting go a barrage of cannon-fire in order to scatter the remaining ships and while they were distracted signalling for the rest of the ships that were able to be mustered up from the chaos earlier to flank the Marine positions and take out a few more ships in the process.
With a fairly decent number of ships destroyed in their maneuvers, and others even captured, the Marines began to withdraw from the fight and Lillie went about taking what prisoners they could and tending to her own wounded soldiers that had been harmed during the assault.
It had all happened in a matter of minutes, it seemed, yet they had miraculously held the port and fought off the surprise attack - but Lillie knew deep down that they would be back, and next time they would bring even more ships and even more soldiers; This had been a test of their strength and they had surprised the Marines once, but she doubted they could surprise them again.
For now, though, she held her head high and praised her fellow Revolutionaries for their part and reminded them all that their victory today was not only for themselves, but for the people of this small port town who would now know that even though the Marines were strong and numerous - They were not invincible.
After settling things down with her fellow Revolutionaries and ensuring that all people had been accounted for, Lillie returned to her quarters and resumed working on her latest invention while smiling as she too realized that today had been a big day not only for herself, but for everyone here and that now they could lead the charge with renewed hope and confidence in their abilities.

| Crew: N/a as of right now Position: Lt. Commander Tier: Activity: Varies, normally I'm fairly available though sometimes I may have to work overtime, (I usually get called up last second.) but I should be fairly active. Why: Mainly because I'd like to be able to assist in pushing things along around here, and since Revolutionaries are usually one of the more deader factions on One Piece sites it seems (from my experience, anyways) I'd like to be able to help out this one. It seems like a lot of fun, too. Sample: Jingee waited in a room. There were no windows in said room, it was almost complete darkness save for the light shining through the cracks in the doorway stretched across the otherside of the room. There weren't any light fixtures, there were no fans. Just a long, stretched out table covering a majority of the room, and two chairs. One on each side. He was nervous, but tried to not let it show. His heart was pounding, and he eagerly kept his eyes glued to the door. His outfit was simple prisoner wear, just a brown shirt with brown pants. He was on his way to impel down, and cuffed down to the chair.
He sighed, hours had passed. This was his last chance for a peaceful negotiation. Cough up what information he had on the Revolutionary Army or he would be forced to endure through torture, until they decided that they would just kill him. Truth be told, at the moment Jingee had very little info against his allies. Having only just joined recently, a mission seemed to take a turn for the worse. One thing led to another, and bam, all of a sudden he was surrounded. He was in no mood to fight high ranking Marine Soldiers at his current strength. His comrades had gotten away, he knew that much thanks to a glimpse to them fleeing in the streets as he was chained down. He created a little bit of chaos to ensure they'd gotten away. He bent over and lifted his cuffed hands to rub a wound on his face - They weren't gentle. Him getting captured could help them completely their mission, he figured. Whether it was the chains rattling after hours of silence or if it was just time to get the interrogation under way, a lady barged in. She bore the Marine insignia on the back of the famous coat of the Marines, as typical to them. "Are you ready to speak?" She asked. Jingee remained quiet, his gaze affixed to where he was staring before she entered. "Suit yourself, then." She said, leaving once more.
The door slammed shut, however he noticed it didn't lock this time. An opportunity, perhaps? He got up, picking up his chair and calmly made way for the door. His attempt didn't last long, another Marine entered. He quickly resat himself, more towards the corner of the table. "Should have talked, man." The larger, muscular Marine said as he proceeded to be Jingee. It lasted for a long twenty minutes. Jingee looked down, barely being able to see from his swollen eyes. He noticed a key in his lap, "Overboard." The marine soldier whispered, so that the recording Den Den Mushi wouldn't pick up the sound.
The lady reentered the room. Gripping the key tightly, he decided he wouldn't let her see it. "One last time. Will you give me the information I asked you for?" She asked. This question had repeated often over the course of the past week. He sat there, silently. Ten minutes they would wait in silence before the lady got back up. "We will arrive at impel down in three days. You will be executed for treason shortly after." She said, finally leaving the room. Two guards would enter as she left, to escort him to the brig. He'd been sleeping there for the past week, waiting for sixteen hours in that room every day since being captured. He wasn't about to rat out his allies to the Marines, and it looks like things have paid off.
Why? He didn't care. It was a chance for freedom again. It could very well be a trap, but still a chance. He was being optimistic in this sense, he knew there were some units out doing some espionage level missions on some Marine ships. If this soldier just so happened to be aligned to the revolutionaries, then things have truly played into the hands of Jingee.
He made off with the cuffs in the middle of the night and proceeded to unlock the cell. A majority of the prisoners were already asleep, others would plead for help silently, as to not wake the sleeping security guard. He freed who he could. He was hesitant, of course. Obviously he was freeing some dangerous people being escorted, however he needed some kind of diversion. They all rushed out the door, one of the prisoners would begin beating on the helpless security officer. Jingee made way towards the chaos, the Marine soldiers had acted quickly.
Of course there were backup soldiers watching cameras that were in the room. He figured the guard sleeping would get what was coming to him, should he survive. He looked around, lights were flashed towards the exit and rifle fires were aimed towards the escaping prisoners. They began firing without hesitation. Several were killed, though few made it to where the soldiers were firing from and began engaging in fisticuffs. He continued to scan the would be battlefield from behind the corner in the interior, leading the few smart enough to remain behind. Unfortunately for them, Jingee wasn't in favor of letting criminals go unscathed. Whatever they'd done, they'd have to be punished for however this battle would see fit. He led them straight into an area they would be caught, while he slipped away using some of the cargo aboard to keep hidden. He couldn't leave yet. The sea was right there, yet he needed to do something.
He continued to scan the crowd of marines. 'This is suicidal' He thought. But it was something that needed to be done. However, as their attention was averted thanks to the prisoners he border-line sent to their deaths, he charged in. Silently, dashing across the deck of the ship. He would begin to combat the large group of soldiers, armed with swords and guns. He would target the ones with fire arms first, figuring they were the most dangerous. He managed to steal one of their guns, and began firing upon the crowd of marine soldiers. When they returned fire he would begin shielding himself with other Marine Soldiers, the ones who dared to get close with their swords ended up being hit by their allies bullets. He ended up tugging a fair amount of people to their deaths, and had kicked three people overboard. 'Done!' He thought to himself, dashing towards the edge of the ship himself. He began falling towards the water. After hitting it he tried to swim towards the surface in a rushed manner, gasping for air when he finally made it. Eventually, a submarine would rise underneath. He escorted the Marine soldiers inside as planned, as they would change from their Marine uniforms into more casual wear. It would seem the soldiers he was commanding that day hadn't finished the mission when they fled, instead they had ran back to base, thus the espionage unit, who was expecting an escort had eventually gotten a note telling them to jump overboard to escape. A more daring, and highly risky operation as they could have been hunted, though the prisoner riot seemed to make that difficult for the Marines. | |

| Crew: Soaring Freedom Position: Lieutenant Commander Tier: F Activity: I usually work short afternoon shifts that leave the proceeding nights pretty open. This is the case for about another 4 months at which point I'll be cutting back my work hours but also doing school part time. Why: The revolutionary army seems to be lacking in terms of membership when compared to Pirates or Marines. I feel as though having more PCs in these significant positions would help to make the faction more relevant and give it character. Sample: - Spoiler:
A small beam of light shined down at the angle, giving the otherwise dark room Yukiko found herself in. She was knelt down on the floor, the only thing filling the room being her and the small pillar of light. She rotated her stiff shoulders, her cuffs making a rocky, clacking sound behind her back. A frustrated huff escaped past her lips as she kept her head tilted down. Ahead of her was a large, metal door. From one look, it seemed as though it had not been well kept for a bit of time. The edges of the door appeared to be worn and rusted, the frame appearing to be in a similar state.
On the other side, she could hear murmuring, she had been for a few minutes. The thick, stone walls made it difficult to determine how many different voices there were. Her best guess was at least two, one person doesn't banter to themselves for that long. It wasn't before long that she could hear an ear wrenching creek as the door began to slowly open. Through the doorway, three male figures made their way into the empty room Yukiko was in. She tilted her head up at them slowly. Her expression was that of a scowl as she looked at one of the uniformed figures approach her.
"Christ lady, been a while since we went and threw someone in The Shoe-Box." The man commented while extending a hand out to grab a hold of the red head by the chin, using his thumb and index finger to do so. The woman remained silent as the man tilted her head up at him. Her eyes focused behind the burly man, looking at what appeared to be back-up of sorts. Two tall and skinny men stood on opposites ends of the doorway they entered through. She figured them to be there in case she decided to get violent. It wasn't like they tied her to the floor anyway; they just threw her in here with some cuffs.
"Now, the heads upstairs just wanna keep you in here, keep you where you can't hurt nobody they say." he began to explain, running his thumb in tiny circles on her chin as he spoke. "But a guy like me wouldn't wanna do that to a pretty face like you. So let me strike you a deal hun'.". The man went on, trying to make his tone consoling. "You just tell me a little bit about your friends and I'll convince them to not let you rot in here 'till you die.". The man's lip spread into a wide and friendly looking smile as he gave Yukiko his ultimatum. For a moment, the only thing that filled the void of silence was the gentle howling of a draft. After a few seconds, the woman tilted her head up slightly higher at the man and pursed her lips. It was then that she spat in his face, a glob of her saliva landing right under his eye.
The man in uniform quickly stood from his knee, now with an expression of disgust. "You fucking animal!" he exclaimed, lifting up his foot to swiftly kick the woman, the sole of his shoe bashing against the bridge of her nose. Yukiko landed on her side with a grunt. She felt a warm liquid begin to drip from her nostrils and down the side of her face. The woman simply laid there on the ground. She looked up at the burly man as he turned around and began to walk out, giving him a scowl as he began to talk to one of the shorter men. "She goes on the block in the morning." He said simply, bringing a hand up to wipe away the red headed woman's spit from his face. The man was nearly out of the room, only stopping in the doorway as he heard one of guards he brought with him speak up.
"B-but sir!" the guard began to speak out in protest before the burly man grabbed a hold of his shirt collar and roughly slammed the short man against the wall by the doorway. "Either it's her ass on the block tomorrow or your's!" he shouted. With that, he threw the now terrified guard to the floor and stepped out of "The Shoe-Box", waiting for his two men to step out. The both of them scrambled out of the room and took their positions at both sides of the taller man. He looked down at the bleeding woman with a scowl to match her's, scoffing as he suddenly slammed the metal door closed. With that, room returned to how it was moments ago. Quiet and dark, lit only by the light shining in through a small, rectangular hole in the wall opposite to the door.
Yukiko brought herself back up to her knees, taking the same position she had before.Tough acts aside, she needed to get out of here as soon as possible. Spitting in people's faces and not talking wasn't going to get any farther from a chopping block. "Hmm..." the woman hummed to herself as she began to brainstorm ideas. She slowly brought herself standing on her feet. She'd need to have a look around if she were to breakout of this place. With a turn of her head, she began to examine the small hole that provided the only source of light in the room. It was about the size of her fist if she had to give an estimate. Through it, she could see outside the complex she was being held in. She could see clouds gently rolling by in the sky and a bit of the sea beneath it.
The red head's expression seemed to shift to a frustrated one, appearing as though she was concentrating on something. After a long pause, the only result from the apparent concentration would be a fizzling sound and a small puff of smoke coming from the palm of her hand. Yukiko let out a frustrated grunt. If it wasn't for these stupid cuffs, she could blow herself out of her, she thought. As frustrating as it was, that was probably the point. You couldn't very well keep a prisoner that can literally explode without taking the proper precautions. Until she could make an explosion or figure out how to squeeze through a hole smaller than her head, this hole didn't seem like it was going to be of a lot of use. She turned around to look around the room. That seemed to be it for the features of this stone box, just a hole in the wall and a metal door. Looking at the door now however, she noticed something to be off about it. It seemed different than before even.
With narrow eyes, she walked over to the door and examined it was well. It seemed like...the door hadn't been closed all the way? If she had to guess, she would say it probably ended up like this when the man slammed it. The door was already in crummy condition and must have jammed itself in its own frame without closing properly. Maybe if she were to push on it hard enough, she could force it open and escape. The problem with that though was how was she going to get out of the prison once she busted out of the room? It was pretty safe to guess she couldn't just run out the front door. At this point she didn't need a full proof plan, just a plan in general, and running head first towards the front gate wasn't it.
Her lips pursed as she began to think to herself. A few minutes passed with just the woman sitting in contemplative silence as she leaned up against the door of "The Shoe-Box". A single idea struck her. It may be hasty; it may be a pretty impulsive idea. But it was an idea she herself could put faith in. With a smirk, Yukiko took a step back from the door and turned to face it. She lifted her foot up and positioned her sole on the door. She exhaled a deep breath and paused for but a moment. Suddenly she drew her foot back and rammed it forward against the door. A loud bang could be heard as the bottom of her shoe met with that of the metal of the door. As much force as she put behind it, the door didn't seem to budge at all. At this point though, there was no going back. There was no way someone wasn't going to alert other people to the noise she made with how much security these people have surrounded her with. She just need to do it harder!
She drew her foot back once and slammed it against the door to try and force it open once more. A few flakes of rust fell to the floor from the door's frame as Yukiko felt the door slide forward very slightly. It looked like she was really doing it, the woman thought to herself. With one more kick, the door flew open on its hinged, crashing against the wall beside its hinges. As the woman stepped out, she got to see two men. One had a disgruntled expression and was brandishing a dagger towards the red head. The other man looked to be frightened by this turn of events and began to frantically reach into his coat pocket and take from it what appeared to be a shell-shaped communications device. "We've got a situation! Prisoner has escaped from the solitary cell!" she exclaimed into the device with shaking hands.
Behind them was a wall lined with cells. These ones however, in contrast to the one Yukiko had been put in, only had metal bars holding them back from the hallway. The men and women in these cells appeared be getting enjoyment from spectating. Some were taunting the guards even, talking about how they're "Supposed to be the big badasses in here" and to "Just go up and kick her ass". The heckling seemed to work on at least one of them, as the guard who had taken out a dagger ran towards the red headed woman. Yukiko took a quick step forward and hopped on her feet, putting a spin on herself while raising a leg up and extending her foot outward. Performing a spin kick, the ball of her foot would meet with the side of the charging man's forehead, knocking him to the ground. The escaped prisoner herself would land on a single knee. It seemed like balancing was a little difficult without the help of one's arms.
The frightened guards stood there as his comrade fell to the floor, watching the red head take off down the hallway and take a turn before she could find out if the other guard was still conscious. He wasn't dead and that was all she cared about at this moment, getting out of here and keeping her hands clean. From here on out, she was acting on instinct. She had barely a skeleton of a plan and the end result of that wasn't even her getting out. If she were to carry out what she wanted to do, she'd just have to hope she could get out from it. As the woman continued running down the hallway, she eventually heard the sound of a siren ringing through the building. It seemed like someone got the call about her escape. She'd just have to move fast, in a building she's seen one area of at best. A hefty sigh escaped the woman's lips as she continued running and took another turn off of the hallway.
This new hallway was lined with doors on either side; each door had a single window in it, allowing one to peer through it. With how fast she was moving, Yukiko didn't have a lot of time to thoroughly examine every room individually. What she was looking for though was certain characteristics of a room she hoped existed in a complex such as this. After looking through a particular window, she came to a screeching halt, stumbling slightly at the lack of balance she had. What she saw was a room with a single man, seeming to be yelling whilst using a Den Den Mushi. His hand slammed down on to a desk in front of him. On it, Yukiko could see something that looked to be just what she was looking for. As she raised her foot up, she could hear doors swing open and masculine voices shouting towards her. Disregarding them, she kicked the door before her open and ran inside.
The older man who had previously been screaming at the top of his lungs hardly hard enough time to turn his head before the side of his skull met with the woman's forehead. With a shout of pain and surprise, he fell to the floor. Yukiko winced from the backlash. That really stung, but she didn't feel like doing another jumping kick and falling to the floor with guards right behind her. Her gaze fell to the desk at her side, looking at several buttons laid out and off to the side of it. As the guards down the hallway were just now reaching the door to the room, Yukiko raised her foot up and stomped down, crushing every button on the corner of the desk beneath the sole of her shoe. Almost immediately several alarms began to blare out of sync with each other. Yes! That was exactly what she wanted! Now she just hoped it did what she wanted in the first place. If not, at least there would be a little panic to work with.
As the red headed woman turned to the door, she saw a familiar face. A familiar face with a familiar, angry expression. It was the burly man that had tried to get Yukiko to give away information about The Revolutionary Army. Except now, he didn't look like he wanted to talk. In his hand was a flintlock pistol, raised and pointed towards the woman, along with an infuriated look on his face. "Do 'ya even know what you've done?!" he exclaimed as his finger began to squeeze down on the trigger of his weapon. The woman tilted her head and began to lean to the side as the man shot his weapon. The bang of his weapon echoed throughout the room and down the hallway as it went off. The bullet shot out of the barrel and towards Yukiko and scraped against her cheek. It continued on, striking the wall behind her as she began to run towards the burly marine. She kicked off of the floor and extended a leg as she jumped towards him, striking his chest with the bottom of her foot to knock him on to his rear.
The man let out an audible "Oof!" as his back hit the wall and began to slide down on to the floor. Yukiko landed on her feet, stumbling forward slightly and having to lean against the wall of the hallway to keep herself balanced. "No clue!" she shouted, giving the man a delayed answer to what she assumed to be a rhetorical question. With that, she began to sprint down the hallway, back in the direction she came in the first place. As she did so, something struck her as odd almost immediately. She could have sworn she had heard more voices behind her than just that guy's. Why was he the only one that showed up to stop her in that office? The red head kept moving and eventually came across the hallway of cells she first started this mission of her, getting to see for herself why only one person came to get her.
As Yuki turned the corner, she suddenly came to a halt upon coming across the site outside the cells. It seemed as though one of the buttons she stomped on to press opened every cell door, at least in this block. Criminals, men and women, young and old, were rioting against the guards of the prison. Most of them were unarmed, fighting people with cutlasses and guns. Some however seemed to have picked up a dropped weapon and were currently using it, though that number was dwarfed when compared to the sheer number of armed guards. They didn't seem to care however, and Yukiko couldn't blame them. Maybe some were trying to fight their way out, others perhaps just enjoying the chaos of the situation. Either way, it was a battlefield. Bodies began to drop to the floor, some corpses, others unconscious and still breathing bodies. A single idea sparked in her head. These were her people, the kind of people she grew up around. She knew how to talk to them, and if she were to get out of here, she might need there help.
"Hey!!!" Yukiko shouted at the top of her lungs as she tried to grab the attention of her fellow prisoners. "Let's take this party outside!!!". Her suggestion didn't appear to fall on deaf ears, as a cheer slowly grew from the crowd of fighting criminals. It began rather small, mainly coming from the people who were paying attention when the red head had knocked out the first guard she kicked right outside of "The Shoe-Box". But very quickly, mob mentality kicked in. The crowd began to push itself down the hallway as Yukiko mixed herself in it. The guards that were previously struggling to fight off the prisoners were now helpless to stop this hive mind as it moved towards the front gate of the prison. They filled the hallway wall to wall; pushing passed any gate and door they came across.
Soon the massive mob found its way outside the prison complex, having forced its way through every guard, gun, and sword in its way. Yukiko was walking at a leisurely pace as excited convicts excitedly ran past her like children in a candy store. She smiled towards the sky with a bloodstained face, some old and dried, some fresh and still dripping. She exhaled a sigh of relief. This probably wasn't the safest way to bust out of prison, she just let loose hundreds of dangerous criminals. But she was out at least, she began to walk towards the horizon as shouting and cheering men and woman continued to pass her. On the brighter side, she got to live out the more carefree days of her life for just a moment.

| You are hereby Approved as a LT. Commander of the Revolutionary Army. I really enjoyed your Sample and am excited to see what you and your crew do in this RP.

Position: Lieutenant Commander Tier: F Activity: I usually work short afternoon shifts that leave the proceeding nights pretty open.
