Personality: Amaya is a very ambitious and optimistic personality most of the time, often seeing any situation as more of an opportunity than anything and providing encouragement to those around her in times of distress and rallying allies around her strong sense of perseverance and determination in order to help bring them to victory however dire the situation may be.
She is also a very curious and inquisitive person and often will seek to go out searching for strange and potentially useful artifacts when time permits, usually traveling alongside Takuji when doing so due to his position as a Paladin and her's informally as a 'Relic Hunter' within Takuji's home island.
It is also worth mentioning that although she has a very optimistic and quite ambitious personality that this can lead her into just as much trouble as it gets her out of, meaning that she will oftentimes refuse to believe that a battle can be lost or that it is sometimes better to retreat than to stand and fight. This is, however, one reason why she travels alongside Takuji for the simple fact that he will do his best to pull her out of these dangerous situations even if she herself may not wish to go.
In her down-time, alongside searching for 'Relics' or anything of that nature, Amaya enjoys seeing the sights of wherever she may be and sparring to practice her swordsmanship against her peers so that she can become stronger and better over time.
One of the few things that Amaya dislikes, perhaps, are those who seek to harm others out of pure vengeance or out of malice, she believes that those who would hurt someone just to get revenge or because out of hate and not justice are people whom should be considered unworthy of holding a blade let alone using it.
Though she is not sure how long she may hold that belief, because the world outside of her home island is so insane that she can hardly believe what she sees and understands that perhaps sometimes: Violence is the only way.
Description: Amaya stands at a little over five feet tall (5'4'' to be exact) and has long black hair that flows down her back about halfway down and her eyes are two separate colors with one being red and the other blue. This heterochromia has since her early childhood caused her to be ostracized by most of the islanders save for a few, one of which being Takuji whom she found a friend in despite his strict parents and somewhat rigid teachings that to her seemed a bit outlandish seeing as she did not believe in the God that Takuji and his family did.
During this phase of her childhood she was also gifted with a special necklace that she wears to this day that is known as a 'Catalyst' and emits a soft glow in response to being close (within a few meters) of a 'Relic' or 'Artifact' although what constitutes either of these phrases is hard to say, as Amaya has not yet discovered an 'artifact' or 'relic' yet despite the fact she has had her necklace glow now and again, only to find the glow disappearing when approaching where she believed the object to be hidden.
Nowadays, the 'Catalyst' does not seem to function all that much or emit glow too often, but she keeps wearing it as a keepsake and in the unlikely event that she does find an 'Artifact' she hopes to be able to keep it and study it for why it has such an importance.
Beyond her Catalyst, Amaya has trained with and now carries a simple katana on her back in a sheath that serves as her primary form of defense and attack when confronted with a possible enemy. She typically dresses in darker colors, preferring a fur-lined cape worn atop a simple jacket which falls down over her skirt and to the thigh-highs and simple shoes she wears alongside the rest of her outfit.
Her build is rather slender and makes her appear a bit weak physically much like her friend and current mentor, though she practices every day to grow stronger and hopes to one day make herself appear less physically incapable and more on the side of what she believes to be a 'true' swordsmen or at least somewhat.

Description: A simple yet useful technique, this allows for Amaya to release a small wave of energy from her blade while swinging it that travels in the direction that the blade had been swung for up to eight meters and has half of the strength of a normal slash if making contact with an enemy.
This 'aura slash' is a typically dark golden color and moves at a speed equal to the user's own and one tier lower once reaching five meters away from the point of origin. Meaning that it is more effective at short ranges and easily dodged at longer ones.
Strengths: - Useful for when unable to make direct contact with an enemy.
- Can be supplemented with a follow-up attack to overwhelm an enemy in succession.
Weaknesses: - Travels fairly slow compared to the user when at longer ranges.
- Only effective at short range
- Can be easily seen due to it's own glow.
