Description: A Paladin is a warrior that follows either one or multiple Gods/Goddesses and devotes themselves to them entirely, willing to put their own lives and those of others on the line if necessary in order to please whomever they believe will lead them to salvation.
These warriors of the divine can choose to either lead a peaceful life, doing good deeds in order to please their choice of God/Goddess or alternatively they may fight and kill in the name of them in order to please them with a sacrifice.
Typically, these Paladins will wield swords and use a mixture of heavy armors and brute force to overwhelm their opponents - however some choose to cast aside the heavy armor instead for a secondary weapon of their choosing such as a second sword or a shield to increase their defensive capabilities.
It is also notable that Paladins usually have a very stubborn view of things and often see themselves as absolutely right and will dispute anyone that says otherwise - especially if the topic comes onto their chosen method of worship.
General Appearance: Takuji is a fair-skinned and grey-eyed young man who stands at five-feet-six-inches tall and is of a somewhat skinny weight. He has short, shaggy hair that falls to just above his shoulders most times and is typically seen wearing a black coat over a simple shirt and paired with black pants and boots. He does not usually differentiate his attire all that much due to his own personal convictions but if he does it is in his free-time, when he wears a white dress-shirt and jacket with a tie typically red in color.
His build, as previously mentioned, is somewhat on the skinny side and to many he may appear to be fairly weak when compared to more outwardly muscular individuals. Takuji wears two sheathes on his back, attached via straps that attach from the sheathes and around his chest or alternatively sheathes worn on his hips depending on the occasion and manner of which he wants to present himself.
As far as personal effects go, he usually doesn't carry anything around that is visible upon his person at first glance save for one exception being a locket sometimes worn around his neck that contains a picture of his family and inside is scribed a simple: "We Believe In You." on the opposite panel of the locket's interior.

Personality: Before his inception into Paladin-ship and sometimes even now, Takuji is seen as a mostly laid-back individual and was seen before as one that was also not quick to judge and of a good temperament and rather friendly attitude. Now, however, while he does try to retain his laid-back demeanor when in his free time he can be quite the temperamental sort and is nowadays rather quick to 'snap' from a calm attitude into a deadly serious one.
The reason for this is that he sees his new 'occupation' as a way to make up for his laziness and apathy in earlier life and tries to compensate for this by being as serious as he is able to be while still being seen as 'himself'. He also tends to enter his serious side whenever the lives of someone he cares about is in danger or he himself is, making him switch from a happy and cheerful individual to a cold and collected one.
Takuji also acts differently around women than he does men, being more shy around them and often-times finding himself looking down or away to avoid unnecessary eye-contact due to the fact he had not previously in his life had all that much interaction with women and feels like it is difficult for him to do so properly without possibly coming off as weird or rude.
Around other men, however, he has a much easier time fitting in with those around his age and does his best to liven up boring situations with jokes or something of the sort, while also being sure to share any advice he comes across with his companions and help them whenever they need it.

Home Town: Nomad Island
Character History: Takuji was born to a former swordsman father and priestess mother on Nomad Island in the south blue. Due to his parents heritage and previous lives, he was taught both how to defend himself and how to worship properly and as such he came out of his early life as a devout warrior who also practiced in the ways of God worship, searching for what his family called the 'Second Coming', a mysterious and unknown reincarnation of their God that was said to be somewhere on the seas that would lead him and subsequently his family and their people to a new and prosperous beginning.
After he had reached the age of sixteen, Takuji took it upon himself to begin his search upon the open seas, doing small-time bodyguard work to pay his way from island to island as he hoped to come across some sort of sign or person able to lead him on the path towards his God no matter what it would take. He hoped that, when he found this Second Coming, that he could travel alongside them and bring his family, his people, to a new and hopeful beginning - but before that can happen, he continued to search and still does to this day.
