A chance meeting a musician and a captain (private)

Zanji sat alone in his tiny ship riding along the great ocean. He hummed to himself as his tiny little pirate flag flapped in the air as he enjoyed the evenings breeze upon his face. as he was tapping his foot to a song he had in his head he felt something splash into his foot. He looked down and saw that his ship was starting to sink. He quickly grabbed a pail and started to scoop out as much water as he could. soon realizing it was futile. Stupid piece of junk didn't get him this far just so that he would die by drowning at sea oh no not this day! He swore and continued his sails as he saw a distant lighthouse beacon  which meant there was land he smirked and looked up. "Thanks mom and dad saved my bacon." He chuckled and quickly turned his ship and began to sail towards the island. He quickly grabbed his bag and violin case and felt the water steadily rise in the boat he could feet his strength fading as he quickly climbed up the mast he sighed with relief as he stood majestically on it sailing to the port.

All that remained was the mast as it made its way to a dock and he casually walked off of it and heard it sink the rest of the way into the water. He was somewhat saddened by the loss of the vessel after all it had gotten him all the way from the east blue to hear in the north blue. As he started walking into town he noticed a welcome sign saying the name of the port. "Hmm Orange town eh well lets see how harmonious it really is." He lugged his bag over his shoulder and walked slowly into town. He could hear festivities going on and with festivities there were lots and lots of people. Perhaps he could get some berri for some food after all as he felt inside his empty pockets.  His stomach growled loudly and he patted it with his right hand  after setting the violin case down. He chuckled and spoke softly to himself. "Patience my friend patience we will eat soon got to get some money first." His stomach gurgled in annoyance and returned to being silent. Zanji grabbed his case and strolled through the town peeking through various music shops windows at all the beautiful instruments. Oh this was a musician's paradise he almost never wanted to leave.

He soon found himself in a more quiet part of town and sat down by a fountain and began to set up his violin. He sighed as he sat and posed and placed his bows on the strings and began to contemplate. he thought to himself 'hmm I wonder what I should play.  He smirked as a idea came instantly to his mind he muttered as he stood himself up placeing his bags by his feet "yeah this seems fitting after all." He chuckled happily and slowly began to play a ballad version of a very old song that pirates sang about in the golden days it was bink's sake. he was in such a cheerful mood that he even sang along with it his voice being a gentle one sounded almost like young mans as it filled the square with his song.

Sea wind blows, to where who knows, the waves will be our guide

Kitteh was gonna make the best crew for entertainment, fun, and creativity. Although he had the first member, good food was not all a crew needed. A entertainment crew needed entertainment, and the crew member needed was a musician. musicians could provide background music for fun of the crew. The place kitteh would search for this new crew member would be orange town.

As kitteh walked the streets he heard a sound from around the town. Kitteh walked to the sound trying to find who or what was making this amazing noise. As kitteh came to the sound he saw a man singing. What a wonderful man the voice was amazing."hello over there" Kitteh yelled five yards back. The sound was just wondrous and amazing and as the song ended he clapped very loudly. The amount of talent this man had was immense. Even though his songs were not fancy, they sounded professional. As Kitteh thought he mumbled something about how he had no musical talent. Not that kitteh really cared about that, but it gave him something to entertain himself with.

As he finished his song he took a few polite bows and turned his head and saw a boy with a most unusual light blue skin tone. As he approached and got closer into view he was mistaken in cling the boy a human. In fact he appeared to be a fishman. He chuckled and gave a low bow towards the young fishman as he gave him a larger round of applause than the other audience members. "Why thank you good sir I do my best to please my audience." He smiled as he saw a few people toss in a few coins of berri into his violin case and would thank them. He was very excited at the moment after all its not everyday you get to meet a fishman.

Perhaps this could be a sign of fate that he was to work alongside this man someday. He smirked and reached down and pocketed the coins into his pocket. "So what brings you so far from fishman island my friend?" He slowly reached down and put his violin back in its case taking a little break wouldn't hurt his income to badly. He wouldn't mind all tat much to be honest he loved meeting new people and making friends almost as much as he loved playing music. He would maintain visual eye contact with the young fishman so as not to show any signs of disrespect. In fact he meant to show he was giving proper respect to him. The young fishman could not of been older than his late teens he could not know for sure. He smiled and closed up his violin case and sat on the ledge of the fountain and slowly began to shut it closed. He looked inside and stared at a picture of him and his father for a moment and gently reached in and gently pressed his finger across it and pulled it away.

Kitteh was called "friend" a bit of a step up from before he had met people from previous times. Kitteh was even shown music fit for him on purpose this man was trying some of his best, and it was magnificent. After hearing the rest, he heard the man questioning his journey, the perfect time to swoop in and tell him his point."My journey has brought me to find the best entertainers, to keep anyone who is bored"slight pause as Kitteh shivered at the words.
"I am trying to get a crew of pirates for my travels, and I just happen to need a musician. Although you do not need to tell me immediately your answer" Kitteh had not expected a chance to get someone this early "keep in mind, I will become the pirate king some day, and I need a man who can fight for me and not just be the background"Kitteh looked over winking at the man who was now Kitteh's best chance at getting a musician. "The name is Kitteh D. Beaver the man who tinkers with creations and weapons" Kitteh looked confident as he made his entrance. As Kitteh looked up at the sky, He smiled widely, but this would only be for a second as he had to keep respect that seemed to be important to the other man, this would be why kitteh was not going on about annoying slang and such after all he was usually very childish. On a side note after smiling his teeth were now stuck together and respect would be very difficult especially since he would be unable to talk.

Zanji was somewhat glazed over lost in thought as the picture of his father was still fresh in his mind. He was so young when his father had been taken from him. He would vow to make the celestial dragon pay for his transgression. Even if it cost him his life his hand gripped onto his violin case tightly and it shook slightly. He brought himself out of his fog of anger and looked over at the man as he asked him if he would be interested in joining his pirate crew. He smirked and bowed his head gratefully as he had answered his question about what brought him to this town. He slightly blushed being called a great musician. Sure he was a good musician at least in his own mind.

He thanked his mother and father for nurturing his skill as a musician not to mention he had a strong passion for it. He would sometimes just sit in his room and write out lyrics and ballads for hours on end. He would lose himself in his work. He chuckled and closed his eyes for a moment and sat up slowly and dusted off his bum. "Sure i'll join long as you allow me to fulfill my goal I shall keep you and your men entertained and full of morale!" zanji chuckled and gave a salute towards the man. "By the way I don't even know your name nor in fact you know mine. please allow me to introduce myself i am Zanji D. ryotoji its a pleasure to meet you."

Kitteh was listening to all of this and surprised crew recruiting was so easy, when he heard the word "goal". This kitteh had not thought on much."what such goal do you mean, I may also have some ruling on this goal of your's" Kitteh spoke up and realized that being a captain would have some rules of its own."Zanji is a good name, maybe even good names will help us on our trip" Kitteh was somewhat of a robber rather than a killer, so the goal would have to be at least keeping on the verge of the restrictions.

zanji smirked and shook his head. "Apologies for asking the question twice just a little bit out of it i have been out at sea to long without a proper meal." He reached into his inner pocket and pulled out a flask and unscrewed the top and began to drink from it. He let out a sigh "ahh nothing like some fresh water to help clear the mind." He wiped his mouth off with his sleeve and put the flask of water away. "Well I am happy to formally meet you Captain Kitteh D. Beaver I look forward to working with you and your crew." He paused for a few moments as he was asked about what his goal was. He had many goals he wished to accomplish he wished to be the king of the pirates or at least attain the rank of yonko. However he had one dream he wished to see fulfilled above all others. "I am seeking a certain celestial dragon who murdered my father many years ago and i plan on killing him I hope that isn't a issue."

Kitteh heard the first thing the other man said, and not being on the right mind that day got a bucket of sea water from a bag he was carrying and tried to see if water cleared his mind. It being salt water cleared his mind a bit to well. In fact it was cleared so well that the only words after he could hear were "I hope that isn't and issue" Kitteh took this of course as a reply too "ahh nothing like some fresh water to help clear the mind.". So after pondering what the man was saying he replied with "not an issue for me" kitteh actually did not know if it was really an issue.

Zanji cracked his neck to the side and gently sat up straight and got down off the fountain. Break time was over and so his new adventure with this new crew would begin. He was excited to meet his other crew mates perhaps they were big music fans. ioh he so hoped that they were. He could already imagine it now his shipmates sleeping peacefully and then BAM he kicks the door open and he would play a waking song to rouse them at the crack of dawn. It was one of his more favorite pranks do after all you only live once. Well not in his case anyways he had a second one waiting. He gave a polite bow to kit and walked slowly towards him. "Well then I hear by pledge my services and my life to captain Kitteh D. Beaver I will do my uttermost to make you proud and shall work myself to my bones!" He got up from his bow and looked at kitteh and saluted him and chuckled. "Well then lets get going then shall we captain after all im sure the crew is eager to meet there newest member."
