[Chapter 1, Part 1] The Dream Eater Pirates Come Together(Mari and Radley)

Mari had docked the Day dream, her ship at the Belator Island Harbor. It hadn't been long since the tiny supernova had decided to form a crew and she was now on a search for strong people to join her and her quest to find the "one piece". It was bright and hot out today. Which didn't sit well with the dream eater, she preferred cool weather over dry or humid heat. Mari took off her signature white puffy short sleeved coat and held it in her arm, making sure the coat tails wouldn't drag on the ground and get dirty. Taking her coat off revealed her short dark purple tank top that exposed her stomach and short white skirt. She still wore her white hat with the mark of her crew on it, which helped shield her face from the sun. Mari took in a deep breath before jumping off the starboard side of her ship, landing like an agile cat on the dock of the harbor of the island. She then stood up straight and took off running into town at max speed.

Before Mari knew it, she was stopped in front a nice looking tavern. She figured this place was as good as any to start her search for possible crew mates. So she went in. And just like any place in the south blue she went, everyone stopped what they were doing and froze up in almost fear. This happened everywhere she went because of the bounty on her head that the marines had given her and she hated it. Of course, Mari didn't mind being famous in a way. It got her lots of attention for one thing. And no one really tried to mess with her because of it. She found an empty table near the back where no one else was sitting just to show the people in the tavern she meant no harm to them and eventually they went back to doing their business. Mari sat there for a bit before calling a waiter over. A man who looked like he would pee his pants any second came up to her. "wh-what can I g-get y-you miss??" Mari smiled and said. "I'll take a dozen assorted donuts baldy!"

Radley stood over a pan on the stove stirring a red sauce over the flames of the stove. Radley wore a black short sleeved, button up shirt with a white snake design on the back. He wore a white apron with minor stains here and there overtop the shirt. Radley poured in a green mixture of veggies and spices and stirred those in before tapping the mixing spoon on the side of the pan and turning down the heat on the stove to let the sauce simmer. Radley then moved about the kitchen checking on the progress of the other kitchen staff employed by the restaurant. This place had been about the third or fourth place he'd worked at within the past several months, and that was only one this island. He'd been bouncing around from island to island for about a year now after setting out on his own. This one wasn't his primest choice of places to work, he'd worked at better places, but he'd also been employed at worse places than this. Work was work though, and for him cooking wasn't really work anyways. Though he kind of had a bad habit where he'd get into fights with customers, thus the moving around from job to job.

Radley returned to the simmering sauce and removed the pan from the heat before drizzling the sauce over a the orders that it went with. Radley sets the completed orders on the table to be taken out. The waiter comes in looking confused just as Radley gets the plates onto a tray. " These are ready to go, Wallace." Radley said before looking up at the waiter. " What's up?"  Wallace shook his head. " There's a girl out that that's requesting donuts. I said I'd check about it since they weren't on the menu." The waiter said fidgeting with his hands. " Ok, I can do that." Radley replied.  The waiter's face jumped to an expression mixed of surprise and worry. " But-but, She's a wanted pirate." Wallace said. Radley reached down and pulled out a small bag of flour. "So? A hungry customer is a hungry customer." He said pulling other ingredients, trays, and pans down. " Just tell her that it'll be out in a while."

The waiter looked around nervously after Mari gave her order. His actions confused the short girl. The waiter suddenly said he'd go check and ran off to the kitchen. He came back out three minutes later letting her know that her order would be out in a while. Mari never liked waiting long periods of time BUT she would be willing to do so for some donuts. She put her feet up on the table and leaned back in her chair. "thanks baldy, you can go serve other customers now." She said waving the waiter away. With that, the waiter went off in the direction of other tables. Marin put her hands behind her head and rocked her chair back and forth while staring up at the ceiling with a bored expression on her face. Suddenly, the tavern doors burst open and a crew of burly looking pirates came busting in loudly. "Arrrgggh! Bring us yer finest beer!! yarharharhar!" Said the pirate who looked to be the captain. Mari just eyed them from her seat near the back of the tavern. She didn't feel like starting a fight when she had donuts waiting for her. Even though their loud voices were slightly irritating. Of course, her decision soon changed when one of the pirates started sexually harassing a couple of women at the bar. The women didn't like it at all. Mari let her chair fall back onto the floor as she jumped up onto the table. She then took her signature cat-like pose before jumping off the table and running towards the bar. She stopped right under the pirate who was harassing the girls, jumped up using her right fist to punch him straight into the ceiling which happened to be a bit lower at the bar. Now the pirate was just a body showing while his head was stuck in the ceiling. After that, the girl ran away screaming instead of thanking Mari. "Jeez! You'd think they'd be gratefulto someone who just saved them." Marin turned on her heel to now be facing some quite enraged pirates.
"Hey there little missy! What ye think yer doing to one of my men, huh?!" Mari just laughed which only served to make them more angry at her. "If you guys want a piece of me, then come on!" She said while cracking her neck and knuckles. With that, they took Mari's bait and charged at her with mostly their fists. Mari all but dodged their attacks knocking each one out with the side of her hand hitting a pressure point in their necks. She then walked up to their captain and just as he was about to pull out a pistol, Mari kicked him in the nuts, causing him to drop his pistol and drop to his knees in pain. Mari then started kicking each pirate out of the tavern one by one. Now with the big disturbance gone. The last thing Mari expected happened. The whole Tavern started cheering for Mari. It seemed that they were no longer in fear of her, instead they were happy she had been there. With all the cheering, Mari couldn't help but get a slightly bigger head.

Radley got to work mixing the dough for the donuts, mixing flour, powdered sugar, and the other necessary ingredients in a large mixing bowl. He stirred the ingredients until they had formed into a nice sticky sort of dough. He put on a couple saucepans of oil and let those heat up. As he was doing so he was adding in ingredients to get to dough to about the consistency that he wanted it at. He set the dough down on the table and flattened it out to about the thickness he thought appropriate. Radley took a quick walk about the kitchen checking the other cook's progress. As he passed by the open window that viewed out towards the dining area. From the window he viewed a group of loud pirates entering the bar. Radley sighed before returning to the doughs with a couple circular cutters. He cut out the doughnuts from the dough ten rerolled the dough out to cut more out. By now the oil was to about the temperature that was needed. Radley quickly stepped over to another table area and pulled a pair if tongs from it. He dropped three donuts into each of the oil filled saucepans. Between flipping the cooking donuts, Radley gathered bowls and more powdered sugar do make some different toppings. Radley flipped the last batch of donuts from the dozen that had been ordered. After Radley pulls out the last of the cooking donuts, Radley decorated them, some in a cinnamon sugar, some with powdered sugar, and others drizzled with a glaze.

Radley plated the round pastries on a couple plates and put the plates on a tray. He dried his hands on his apron before taking the tray up on one hand. When he went out to the main room, he found the pile of pirates that he'd seen coming in and people in the tavern seemed to be cheering for some reason. He wasn't entirely sure what this was all about but he just looked about the room. "Oi, what the hell happened out here?" He loudly said.
