Description:
Divine Right or DR for short is a dark blade blade outlined in grey that serves as one of Takuji's primary weapons and is typically carried in a sheathe upon his back or worn with a scabbard at the hip depending on his current attire.
The blade itself is long and slender and primarily a slashing and thrusting weapon, with a cross engraved near the tip of the blade in a silver color to accentuate the fact it belongs to a Paladin. The blade itself is also relatively light in weight when compared with swords of a similar class and style, making it more effective when wielded with a secondary weapon as it does not require the user's full strength to wield or is heavy enough for them to need to wield it in both hands as some swords of a similar type are.
Another feature of this sword is that it has a half-cross-guard with a crescent part of the blade extending from the guarded side to the rest of the blade itself, making it just heavy enough on the singular end to provide extra momentum when swinging at a higher velocity or to block another blade swinging at the guarded location.
Strengths:
- Half-cross-guard provides an easily ability to block when clashing with another sword.
- The length of the sword allows for the user to strike targets that would normally be out of arm's length.
Weaknesses:
- Due to only having a half-cross-guard it is not capable of providing blocking ability to both sides of the blade.
- Provides no ranged attack beyond the sword itself.
- Prone to rusting and must be taken care of properly.
