Stats:
Strength -> physical strength
Speed -> physical speed
Dexterity -> finesse maneuvers and weapon handling skills.
Resilience -> pretty much your defense attribute
Willpower-> Haki defining purpose attribute
Preferences lead to something like this
You would start out with 3 stats at Average and 1 of your choice at Amateur.
At max level you could achieve 2 at superhuman and 3 at monstrous.
Each rank would have a small paragraph or few sentences defining what it does for each individual stat so there would be no clarification or "how much faster am i than this rank, or how many good is my swordsmanship compared to his." issues.
Now for rank up;
Each rank up would be done by either post count or amount of story arcs, site events, or major accomplishments/bounties gained/claimed. A thread would be created that staff would keep watch over. The thread would run like this:
A list of account names underlined
then a bulleted list of their characters below each name. with a post count beside each character. After a thread is done an rper would post a link with a post count, then the mod would would check the count and update the character.
or
You could do the typical character journal, but i feel like each journal should be made then locked. When a change needs to be made there should be a sub-thread in which you would post the
- Code:
-
[i] yaydada[/i]
and a staff member would make an update to the journal that way we know 100% that there is no cheating and it would only be staff error if mistakes.
