Personality: Kurai is a stoic, short tempered, stubborn, ambitious, and a loyal guy. To a lot of people, he would come off as a guy to stay away from due to his temper, and history of getting himself into scraps, but to his little "brother" he is just a grumpy guy with a good heart which he wouldn't be too far from being right about. Kurai isn't someone who takes kindly to bullshit, and is usually quick to handle things with violence, or intimidation, though that has died down some after meeting his younger "brother." Doesn't mean that urge is completely gone however.
But then there are times where Kurai will prefer to just be left alone, and not bothered. He likes to just hang back, and take things easy at times with booze in hand, or a cigarette lit. He can be an all around chill guy if you stay on his good side. However this may lead him to get way distracted at times which in turn is bound to lead him into all sorts of trouble.
Another thing people may notice about Kurai is how ambitious he can be. This is a trait that comes from his mother who turned to a life of crime in order for herself, and her son to survive, leading a gang that dealt in all sorts of "street leveled" illegal stuff which ultimately got her killed, leading Kurai to being an orphan. This also explains Kurai's rough nature. When he sets his mind on a goal he wishes to complete he will see that it gets done. Of course there are times where one will have to call it quits, and Kurai isn't afraid to call it quits, but will be met with some reluctance. He has some goals of his own though that he will make sure come true for both him, and his little "brother."
When it comes to making friends, Kurai's aggressive like personality makes it hard for the most part, but when he does find people who can put up with him like his "brother", Kurai will be as loyal to them as they are to him. He actually prefers being around people he finds interesting even if he doesn't show it all the time. Finding that special someone is also a possibility, but he is even more dense about that sort of stuff than he is about making friends.
One more thing about Kurai is that he is a fan of...cooking. It seems pretty out of character for someone like him, but it is a passion of his he developed during his childhood with his mother than at the orphanage. He kept it mostly a secret however, and tried denying it as he believed it would make him weak, but soon his "brother" came along, and encouraged him to go on with this passion of his, helping him see that it may keep him out of trouble for the most part, that it isn't a form of weakness to have a passion/hobby. He has been cooking for years now, and is quite good at it. Not five star good, but pretty decent. He wishes to get better however, and maybe open up a restaurant one day, preferably the New World since he still has that urge to be close by danger.
Personality Quirks: Kuraii can get lost in thought at times which leads him to daydreaming, and wandering off to places without even noticing at first. There is also that laugh of his....."Shahaha..."
