Island Description LJyAwI8

If any place in the entire Grand Line embodies distrust for others and faith only in the heartless, and chaotic nature of the world it would by Domstrond Keep. The island itself can barely be considered that, as it is encompassed entirely by a grand fortress whose towering walls' height and width are matched only by their vast circumference (spanning to cover the outer rim of the land). Located in the midst of the New World, the Keep has fortified and reinforced countless times to survive the dangerous circumstances and characters found forged in the harshest sea of the world. It too has been pounded into a suitable bastion against all outside forces. With grand, sloping walls panelled with colossal metal sheets (bearing the scars and dents from manifold assaults) and guard towers posted in frequent intervals along this barrier: this is their first line of defence. The second has to do with the total control over those docking at and entering the area: with a mechanized dock to be raised and lowered beneath the waves at their behest, along with a monumental steel gate (one of several) blocking the entrance. Within these legendary ramparts the entire island is covered head to toe in bricks and masonry; every inch is developed and manufactured. The Keep houses a plethora of barracks, outposts, and an array of factories spew forth constant pillars of dark smoke as they produce the Keep's weapons, defences and munitions (the materials required for these processes are one of the few exception they have for accepting outsiders). The grizzly smog that stretches above mixes with the habitual cloud-cover resulting in an absolutely bleak atmosphere enveloping the island. Reaching high into this grey fog is the central citadel, a pointed construct which looms over the entire fortress with an enormous chain-link net hanging from near its peak to the inner circumference of the wall. Of all the cannons, balistraria, and armaments available there, all pale in comparison to their chiefest ordnance: 'The God-fist'.With a formidable arsenal of projectiles at its disposal: incendiary, sea-stone dust and sea-king bait. It can adapt to many threats (ability users included). Sitting on the very apex of the central spire this weapon's infamy is the greatest defence Domstrond Keep has. The absolutely final defence (should the Keep be invaded) is the secret submersible's quarters housed in the lowest rungs of the island. Beyond these excessive defensive constructs, the island also has the natural defence of being within a sea-king nest (guard dogs in essence). The inhabitants of the Keep do not live particularly fulfilling lives, but they serve their purposes within unquestioningly, daunting though they may be; all under the tyranny of the enigmatic ruler of the Island: 'The Pedagogue'. Little is known about this figure, who they are, where they came from or even how they gained such unquestioning rule over such a place, but one can be sure it is their manipulation which has kept the Keep unconquered as long as it has been.
